  13. I cannot get the modem to distinguish between phone/fax/ARA.  I get
  14. good data performance and can send and recieve faxes fine in a manual
  15. mode.  However I cannot get the software that comes with the modem to
  16. distinguish between voice/fax automatically.

  18. Also the chip-set is unusual and many comm programs will not support
  19. it.

  21. Try something different.  BTW if what you want is automated
  22. voice/fax/data reception look for a modem that ships with the new MS
  23. Phone app. since software is more important than hardware in this
  24. situation.
